New devices and climbing the tech cliff

Meaningful Use Stage 2 is released: Impacts on mobile

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT continues to recognize the importance of mobile devices in the delivery of healthcare and future goals associated with the meaningful use of health information technology in care settings. With Thursday's release of Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements, the agency will eventually shift focus to Stage 3, the area of greatest opportunity for input and impact from the mobile community. It is in stages 2 and 3 that consumer engagement, reduction of disparities and patient access to data and engagement with their provider comes into focus. More
