mHIMSS will offer a full agenda for HIMSS12

Navigating the HIMSS annual conference can be quite a challenge with so many events and topics. If you are attending the annual conference and are looking for mobile related education sessions, a great place to start is by searching the HIMSS12 website for the keyword: Mobile. There is a mobile education session which will focus on the landscape of mobile health, case studies, the scope of mobile and wireless applications and platforms and how to evaluate needs and fit in organizations.

New at HIMSS12 is the Mobile Knowledge Center, located on the exhibition floor, where you’ll find mHIMSS education sessions, mobile and wireless case study presentations, exhibit booths with new products and opportunities to speak with subject matter experts on mobile and wireless topics. Visit the Mobile Knowledge Center and HIMSS Central to engage with mHIMSS staff.

Conference goers can also track and plan events by bookmarking the HIMSS12 app on their mobile devices, and they’ll be able to preview the new mHIMSS app built for Android and iPhone. During the conference there will be a Communities Open House where mHIMSS members can network, Tuesday February 21st from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. in the Palazzo Ballroom E.

Social media will play an important role in the communication of special events, thoughts and announcements during the conference. Use Twitter to receive timely conference announcements and updates by following @mHIMSS, @HIMSS and HIMSS Staff, and build new relationships by following those who are using the hashtag #HIMSS12 or #mHIMSS in their tweets.

Finally, if you can’t be in two places at once, education sessions will be recorded, and access requires registration.
