Upcoming mHIMSS community activities

The inaugural mHIMSS "Open Mic" Series kicked off on January 25. This first call-in interactive series focused on a topic that got a lot of thoughtful discussion on the mHIMSS List Serve  -  the use of apps by consumers for self-diagnosis. The Open Mic had more than 50 participants, and we discussed many areas of interest related to apps, privacy and security and the latest policies related to apps (see below).  The next Open Mic call will be Friday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. ET.

What's next?

February will include interviews and blog postings of mHIMSS Not-For-Profit Partners, highlighting current mHealth interests and activities of these organizations. Also, mHIMSS will release a case study focused on how Children's Hospital of Philadelphia leverages mobile and wireless technologies to enable care. In addition, mHIMSS is busy prepping for HIMSS13, planning for December's mHealth Summit and discussing FY14 strategic tactics with the mHIMSS Advisory Council.
