VA names telehealth vendors

It looks like Authentidate will be supplying the VA’s Telehealth Program, which stands as one of the largest in the world. The Berkeley Heights, N.J.-based provider of secure health information exchange, workflow management services, and telehealth solutions was one of six vendors chosen to receive a home telehealth contract in connection with VA’s recent RFP for home telehealth solutions.

Now, VA facilities across the nation will be able to utilize Authentidate's Electronic House Call solution—as well as its Interactive Voice Response system—to remotely monitor patients and boost patient care.

Under the five-year agreement, Authentidate's RPM solutions promise to bring the kind of personalized care to patients in their homes that previously was available only in acute and post-acute care settings. Clinicians use the Electronic House Call or the IVR solution to remotely monitor vital signs and gather additional information about their patients' health to supplement in-person visits.

The company’s web-based services are delivered as SaaS and only require customers to have an Internet connection and web browser, according to a company statement.
