Frank Johnson November 12, 2012, 2:07 pm You can get Teladoc for $19.95 per month! I use a service by the name of MD247.Com that uses the Teladoc program. They are a network of board certified doctors that can prescribe a medication right over the phone! I found them through this website: MD247.COM - They also gave me a number to call: 866 232 1343
laurie poss,m.d. February 16, 2012, 9:35 am Are the teledoc doctors also prescribing?? Are they licensed in the states of the employee-patients? If they are actually treating patients, this is a legally unresolved issue that is starting to be addressed as telemedicine emerges as a feasible modality. Please watch for the launch of Promedicorp,,which includes an employee telemedicine module in addition to other health problems affecting workplace productivity. Laurie Poss,M.D.
Curt McCallister March 7, 2012, 4:05 pm We all know telemedicine is still a gray area with most medical boards but as long as the physician has an unrestricted state license in the state the patient resides, does not prescribe narcotics/controlled substances or life style drugs (Viagra being the most notable or psych) the boards leave telemedicine alone. Once you step ouit of this box, as a physician the boards will come after you. The doctors at teladoc do not step out of this box. I don't even know why you would ask these questions because if you are looking to start some type of Telemedicine program you should already know the rules.
