Health Disparities

mHealth is more than just a topic, it may represent the key to reducing the digital divide among populations and serves as a catalyst for reducing health disparities around the world. 90% of the world’s population lives within reach of a cell phone signal. Whether it is compliance with medications via text messaging or delivering care to populations outside the reach of traditional care settings, mobile health IT is changing the way the world approaches health care. Mobile technology is a pathway to reduce disparities and promote healthy living regardless of where an individual lives in the world.
