Advances in 802.11n standards and technologies are paving the way for Wi-Fi to be used for mission-critical applications including EHR, IP-based video, nurse call systems, patient monitoring and IP- based voice among other things. This session will detail some of the recent developments and breakthroughs that are transforming Wi-Fi into a reliable medium. Topics include 802.11n, interference mitigation, dynamic beam-forming, adaptive meshing and multicast video.
