This paper reports the results of a health IT initiative aimed at using mobile phone technology to spread medical care among people in slum areas. A survey was done in an urban slum setting to test the feasibility of deploying mobile technology for providing primary healthcare services. The design of the study was based on a “Regionalised Service Delivery Model.”
