A healthcare organization’s wireless network has multiple objectives that have to be met, even when goals are at odds with one another. WLAN administrators need to offer continuous network availability and high access speed, but at the same time they have to ensure maximum security. Prioritizing these requirements can be a tricky balancing act in a wireless network. IT Executives from LaVie Administrative Services and Riverside Health Care Systems will discuss how they were able to use Wi-Fi to mobilize key applications while providing mission-critical availability and security over their wireless LANs.
